Our SS12 unique ‘Blue de Joue’ shirt print of birds is made for 3D viewing, a colourful and dada-esque cornucopia of feathered future vision..shades of blue are peppered with hot highlights of raspberry, tangerine, tomato and turquoise. Softer hues of tea-stained neutrals and antique roses remind us of the historical context of our design direction which combines the current trend for birds on textiles with antique Toile de Joule. Other key elements of this collection include inked and distorted, relaxed and twisted designs and hand drawn organic prints of florals, feathers and stems.
Our jacket range places our suitably tailored gents in a teapot factory run by Monty Python; all things English and quintessentially eccentric; a nod and a wink to Lewis Carroll’s Mad Hatter’s tea party. What could possibly be more civilized than a cup of tea and a very good hat? Our answer is ‘a very sharp jacket’ of course! The mish-mash polka hanky is another nod to a quirky classic Brit perennial, while the internals of the jacket have been cut to remind us of a beautifully upholstered drawing-room chair, where it is only proper for one to enjoy one’s tea. Each jacket is buggy-lined with the Teapot Tailor unique print.
